Malangen is a fabulous location from which to experience the magic of the midnight sun with a spectacular view across the Malangen Fjord. This is a place in the summer for relaxation, enjoying the views and taking part in some activities. Welcome to the perfect location from which to explore the great Tromsø region. Leave your body clock at home – it simply doesn’t work under the midnight sun!
This is a purpose built complex offering modern hotel rooms, spacious cabins and apartments plus a comfortable restaurant all with wonderful fjord views. The menu has been produced after close cooperation with our partners on the Lofoten Islands (Børsen Spiser at Svinøya) to ensure food is sourced locally and in a sustainable manner to make it the best restaurant in the region.
Nature based activities form an important part of the Malangen experience. Excellent seasonal adventures take place at Camp Nikka, Malangen’s very own wilderness camp, just a 10min walk from hotel and the fjord is home to many water based activities, including fishing and sea kayaking.

Day 1
Flights from the UK to Tromsø (via Oslo).
Pick up your rental car at the airport.
1hr drive to Malangen.
Check in.
15min drive to local supermarket.
Days 2 to 7 (min stay is 4 nights on a self catering basis)
Long lazy days absorbing the fjord views.
Choose from a wide range of local activities.
Discover the spectacular fjords a visit to Senja is recommended.
Day 8
Time to pack up and return to Tromsø airport.
Drop of your rental car.
Return flights to the UK (via Oslo).
Just a one hour drive from Tromsø, Malangen is a purpose-built complex that has an idyllic waterfront location on the picturesque Malangen Peninsula.
You will be accommodated in a modern three-bedroom self-catering cabin with spectacular views of the Malangen Fjord and the surrounding mountains. The cabins are fitted with a modern kitchen including dishwasher and fridge/freezer, an open plan lounge with flat-screen TV and large balconies and open terraces. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the midnight sun listening to the waves gently lap the water’s edge just a few metres away.
There are two types of cabin, a standard cabin and a deluxe cabin. The deluxe cabins are slightly bigger and have more outside space. Both cabins have space for 5 people in 3 bedrooms with 1 double, 1 twin and a single.
