Scandinavian Capitals

A truly Scandinavian perspective from the centres of these amazing capital cities. Each city has a deep history and rich culture for you to explore.

Overview

Our Scandinavian Capitals tour has proved extremely popular over the five years we have been offering this holiday.

Three great city breaks in one exciting holiday. Oslo, the capital of Norway, is located in southern Norway, close to the Swedish border. Stockholm is the gateway to the Baltic Sea through a stunning archipelago of some 24,000 islands, and Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is part of the Öresund region and connected to the rest of Scandinavia by the impressive Öresund Bridge.

Oslo
The history of Oslo dates back to 1000AD and can be appreciated in Gamlebyen (Old Town). Being a Scandinavian city it will come as no surprise that architecture and design feature heavily.

Stockholm
A walk through Gamla Stan, a boat trip through the ever impressive archipelago, or a visit to the world famous Vasa Museum, Stockholm has it all. Explore Stockholm life on the islands of Södermalm, or take a trip to the islands of Sandhamn or Grindö. Stockholm is also renowned for its excellent shopping and NK is Sweden’s equivalent to London’s Harrods.

Copenhagen
Key attractions include the Amalienborg Palace, The Little Mermaid, the notable Gefion Fountain, and Amaliehaven Park. Just around the corner is Nyhavn, where quaint restaurants and cafes now occupy the old 17th and 18th century townhouses. Further along is the famous pedestrian shopping street, Strøget, as well as City Hall, Tivoli Gardens and the Royal Theatre.
