The Old Dairy Stockholm

The Old Dairy is located on a small traditional Swedish farm on the Nynäshamn peninsular to the south of Stockholm. A great summer / autumn holiday.

Overview

The Old Dairy is part of Fållnäs Gård (farm) on the Nynäshamn peninsular just South of Stockholm, located by the sea near Nynäshamn. The Old Dairy has recently been renovated to accommodate modern living on a traditional Swedish farm.

Stockholm is just 40 mins by car and is easily accessible by an excellent public transport system. Regular local trains depart from Ösmo (just 15 mins away) for Stockholm Syd (the island of Södermalm) and Stockholm Central Station. The Stockholm archipelago and its many activities are also close by.

The highlights of this holiday are the proximity to Stockholm and the Stockholm archipelago. Spend your days lazily exploring Greater Stockholm and / or the archipelago.

Day 1 - Saturday
Fly from UK to Stockholm
Pick up your rental car at the airport.
Approx. 1hr30 drive to the Old Dairy
Stop for some essential supplies on the way. Plenty of supermarkets before arriving at the Old Dairy
Check in to your accommodation

Day 2 - 7 Sunday to Friday
Relax and enjoy this beautiful region of Sweden.
One of the best launch pads to explore Stockholm and the Stockholm archipelago

Day 8 - Saturday
Check out of your house

The Old Dairy Activities

The Stockholm archipelago is vast and there are plenty of activities within a 60-minute drive to keep everyone occupied!

A rowing boat is included during your stay.
There are several swimming spots on the farm where you can swim in the sea. The boathouse has a new sun deck!
Archipelago: Utö nature reserve with some of the most beautiful beaches in Sweden (boat access from Nynäshamn).
Torö Stenstrand is home to a nature reserve, sand and stone beach and is a well known surf spot in Sweden. Recommended!
Stockholm is easily accessible along with all the attractions of the capital city
Great sea kayaking is available from several locations around the archipelago, including Nynäshamn.
Trosa, a picturesque coastal town, is worth a visit.
Take a step back in time at Häringe Slott (Castle).
Kolmården animal park and Eskilstuna zoo are easily accessible.
Boat trips through the Stockholm archipelago. Grinda and Sandhamn are worth a visit.
RIB tours from central Stockholm.
Cycle rental from Nynäshamn tourist office.
Other local activities include plenty of walking trails, horse riding, diving, climbing, golf, sailing and fishing.
